About the photographer

Harlan Landes

Photography and music are two threads of Harlan Landes’s creative life.

Initially self-taught as a photographer, Harlan later took classes at the Arts Council of Princeton. He also studied under and worked with Peter C. Cook, a photographer in Bucks County, Pennsylvania.

His portfolio brings together live music, portraits, places, still life, figure studies, and events. The photographs shown here reflect that range, from people in performance to quieter subjects.

Harlan holds a degree in Music Education from the University of Delaware and has worked with nonprofit music groups. His background in music and education is an ongoing part of his involvement in the arts.
